Solaren Risk Management felt the luck of the Irish as we supported the second annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Five Points this past Saturday.

Leading up to the event, we provided set up assistance by placing no parking permits and equipment for road closures. Those road closures were manned by our ATSSA-certified traffic flaggers and off-duty law enforcement officers throughout the duration of the parade to ensure the safety and security of all those celebrating in the streets.

Prior to last year’s parade, the last time an event like this was hosted was almost 20 years ago.

This revitalized annual celebration helps to breathe life back into the Irish community in Nashville and allows them to have a day in recognition of their culture and heritage. Solaren is proud to support such a significant event and we look forward to doing so again. The Irish Network Nashville is leading the charge on bringing more attention to this global holiday for the benefit of the people of Nashville.

The parade included Nashville Fire, Metro Nashville Police, leaders of the Irish Nashville community and more, to celebrate this international day to recognize Irish communities around the globe and Ireland’s patron saint. Members of MNPD were celebrated for their Irish heritage and even our mayor Freddie O’Connell received a sash of recognition from the Irish Network Nashville.

We worked diligently to ensure that there were no traffic issues for both drivers and attendees of the parade.

The parade ran the perimeter of the Five Points footprint with each road closure barricaded and staffed by a law enforcement officer who can direct traffic if needed and mitigate many potential traffic issues that may arise.
