Upcoming Training Classes at Solaren Risk Management. It’s Open Enrollment!

One of the most important aspects of any industry is the level of expertise required to be successful. In the security field, training courses aren’t just mandatory by state law—they’re essential for learning how to effectively secure people, places, and assets. Solaren Risk Management has been a private security provider for seven years, and we’ve proven ourselves by consistently supplying professional and qualified security personnel, thanks to the rigorous training we put them through. We continue this commitment to education by requiring regular training each year to renew licenses and refresh our officers on the latest advances in safety technology and tactics.

Open Enrollment! Upcoming Training Classes at Solaren Risk Management

Our upcoming training courses focus on several key areas:

restraints, armed security, unarmed security, and the Dallas Law requirement for the state of Tennessee.

  • Restraints Course: This course covers the legalities and uses of restraining devices like handcuffs in situations where they may be required. It’s crucial for security officers to know the specific steps they must take when using these devices, given that they don’t have the same level of authority as law enforcement.
  • Armed Security Renewal Course: This is a renewal class for our officers. It’s an abbreviated version of the initial training, covering updates on legal information, the use of force continuum, range practice, and more. This ensures our staff stays up-to-date on their skills and knowledge.
  • Unarmed Security Course: This course can be taken either in-person or online, depending on what suits our students best. The in-person class covers the same material, but with the added benefit of being able to ask questions directly to a certified instructor. Some of our instructors are also active or retired law enforcement officers, so they bring deep, practical knowledge to the table. The insight they provide is invaluable, no matter what capacity you’re looking to work in within security. Completing this training gives participants state-recognized certifications, allowing them to work various security shifts depending on the type of license they obtain. While some clients and locations require unarmed officers, others can benefit from the additional deterrent of armed security.

These courses are open to the public, not just Solaren staff, and will be taking place next month:

  1. Restraints Course: September 4th
  2. Unarmed/ Dallas Law Course: September 11th
  3. Armed Renewal Course: September 18th
