Solaren Risk Management was proud to provide support for Nashville Cares whose mission is to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Middle Tennessee.

On Saturday, October 5, 2019, thousands of people marched through the streets of Downtown Nashville to support Nashville Cares whose mission is to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Middle Tennessee. Solaren Risk Management was proud to provide over 55 Law Enforcement Officers to provide traffic control at the numerous road closures throughout the walk, as well as unarmed security for the event at Public Square Park.

Nashville Cares works to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Middle Tennessee through education, advocacy and support for those at risk or living with HIV. They are able to offer services annually to 50,000 Middle Tennesseans affected by HIV/AIDS. Their services include HIV prevention education, confidential HIV tests, and essential support services to men, women, and children living with the disease. This year they have raised $199,000 to help aid their mission.

This particular parade required such a large number of officers due to the number of intersections in downtown Nashville, and here at Solaren, we feel very lucky to have such an amazing staff of men and women that we can call upon for these larger events to help keep everybody involved safe and the perimeters secure. With so many people in such a busy area of Middle Tennessee, our officers were highly focused on the safety of all attendees. They ensured all traffic was directed away from the lengthy parade, while still providing motorists with assistance in moving through the city without being obstructed by the parade.

Morgan Merchant, our Law Enforcement Field Operations Coordinator, headed the operations for this event, and had this to say:

“We are so proud of all of our officers for showing up for such a great cause, keeping everybody safe, and helping all the drivers in getting around efficiently.”

“Safety aware, because we care.”
