Solaren Risk Management Leadership Team supports the TN Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence at their annual Pearls & Pinstripes Gala

Every 1 minute, nearly 20 people are physically abused by an intimate partner in the US

This statistic and others like it, are why we at Solaren Risk Management are passionate about supporting the Tennessee Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence. On October 29th, members of the Solaren Risk Management leadership team attended the 9th annual Pearls and Pinstripes Gala at the Music City Center. This annual fundraiser event brings together people from all backgrounds and walks of life to support a common cause and strive to put an end to rape and abuse. Guests were excited to attend the Masquerade themed event in person, after the fundraiser was held virtually last year due to the pandemic. To help ensure the safety and wellness of all attendees, Solaren Medical Team staff were on site to provide free rapid COVID tests. After a delicious meal, attendees bid on items from both silent and live auctions. All proceeds from the auctions directly benefit the charity. Items auctioned included wine, weekend getaways, hotel and restaurant packages and a special guitar signed by several country music stars taken home by our own CEO Jack Byrd III, who had the winning bid.

During the awards presentation, Solaren Risk Management was honored to be awarded the 2021 Community Partner of the Year Award. Also receiving awards for their hard work and dedication to the coalition were Rebecca Wells Demaree who received the Volunteer of the Year Award and Mark Wynn recognized as the 2021 Catalyst for Change Award recipient. After the dinner, awards, and auctions had concluded, guests were treated to live music by Burning Las Vegas as they took to the dance floor and danced the night away. This all-female trio, dressed in golden sequin cocktail dresses wowed the audience with their powerful vocals and dance moves straight off the New York scene. As the night came to a close and the attendees said their goodbyes, a feeling of accomplishment was in the air as over $100,000 had been raised for a great cause.

The Solaren Team looks forward to next years’ gala and continued support of the hard work of the Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence. – CEO, Jack Byrd III
