Guarding Against Chaos: The Crucial Role of Security Personnel in Disaster Response

Story: TN security company protects multiple FL properties after Hurricane Milton

Solaren Risk Management took the initiative this hurricane season to assist and protect properties across several counties in Florida. Our priorities before, during, and after Hurricane Milton’s impact were to ensure the safety of our on-site personnel, defend client properties from looters, and maintain a secure environment for both our team and our clients throughout the worst of the storm.

During our deployment, we detained a total of seven individuals attempting to loot and vandalize the properties we protect.

Our CEO, Jack K. Byrd III, stated, “Our primary objective is to prevent looting, followed by life safety, of course. When mandatory government evacuation notices go out, certain people see it as an opportunity because everyone has had to leave. You’re catching someone at their most vulnerable. They’ve left everything valuable besides their lives and loved ones, and then someone comes in to capitalize on that vulnerability. It’s just terrible.”

The attached story by WKRN News 2 provides video footage of this deployment,

along with further details on our impact within the communities we served in Florida. Interested in participating in future deployments or learning more about our services? Visit our news tab to explore our news releases or visit the careers tab for more information.
