Increased Security Present for downtown for SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament
Solaren is providing more than 150 security personnel and police officers downtown this weekend while the SEC basketball tournament is in action, Solaren is ready to tackle any trouble the large crowd could create on Lower Broadway.
With thousands of people visiting Nashville for this special event, Solaren wants to make sure that there is no room for issues and accidents to happen.
Security officers and off-duty law enforcement officers are trained months in advance for preparation during huge events in the downtown Nashville area. Solaren has 130 additional staff members downtown, 40 of which are certified law enforcement officers and have arrest powers.
Jack Byrd, the CEO of Solaren says…
Jack Byrd, the CEO of Solaren says, “We just want to make sure we have enough people to accommodate the need for the demand that’s in downtown right now.” Tackling crime is the number one priority for Byrd, which is why the private security team is providing extra staff during this weekend.
Byrd is asking for people to watch their surroundings and if you’re driving to this event over the weekend, park smart and make sure valuables are not in plain sight, as well as to lock vehicles and be cognizant of where you park.
