Solaren Officers and Their Life-Saving Actions

Solaren Risk Management proudly recognizes two of its dedicated team members, Off Duty Officer Kyle Reeves and Security Officer Blair Martin, for their heroic actions in separate incidents earlier this year that directly resulted in saving lives.

On June 30, 2025, while off duty at Opry Mills Mall, Officer Kyle Reeves encountered a medical emergency involving a 2-year-old child who was unresponsive and not breathing. With emergency services en route, Reeves quickly assessed the child, cleared the airway, and administered rescue breaths. His immediate intervention revived the child, who began breathing independently before being transported by EMS to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital for further care. For his swift response and professionalism, Solaren has awarded Officer Reeves the Life Saving Award.

Just a few months earlier, on March 28, 2025, Officer Blair Martin was on routine patrol at Riverfront Park when he heard distress calls from the Cumberland River. Using his binoculars, flashlight, and eventually a megaphone, Martin identified a woman in danger in the river. Recognizing the urgency, he quickly coordinated with nearby Metro Police, guiding them to the exact location. Thanks to his persistence and quick thinking, officers were able to safely rescue the woman, who was later transported for medical and mental health evaluation. His actions are credited with preventing a tragic outcome, and Solaren has also nominated Martin for the Life Saving Award.

These two incidents highlight the very best of what it means to serve and protect. Both Officer Reeves and Officer Martin demonstrated professionalism, courage, and compassion in the face of critical emergencies.

Their actions reflect Solaren’s mission to provide not just security, but genuine care for the communities we serve.

Solaren Risk Management is proud to commend and honor both officers for their extraordinary actions and unwavering commitment to safety.
