Solaren Hosts Company Leadership Training And Retreat In Gatlinburg, Tennessee

It has been noted many times that the year 2020 brought hardship for many in their personal and professional lives. Despite the struggle, we are ecstatic to kick off the year 2021 with a new vision and perspective as we hosted our annual company retreat in the mountains of east Tennessee. We were fortunate to be in the classroom with one of law enforcement’s top professionals Tim Plotts, who shared with us his impressive journey through the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and his leadership in FBI-LEEDA. His unique perspective and engaging teaching style was well received and appreciated by our company. Plotts drew on not only his personal knowledge and experience, but also the wisdom of other great writers including John Maxwell and Steven Covey introducing their rhetoric in order to strengthen and enhance our personal and professional values.

In addition to the leadership training of Tim Plotts, our CEO Jack Byrd taught a course on the correct use of less than lethal force. After passing proper procedures, Jordan Byrd, Tim Kinzer, and Destiny Gleaves each received individual security certifications.

In celebration of completing company training we enjoyed a last day of exploring east Tennessee, playing cards, billiards, singing karaoke, and playing paintball followed by a wonderful dinner at Gaucho Urbano Brazillian Steakhouse. It was a superb opportunity to expand our company knowledge, learn more about ourselves, and grow closer as individuals and as a team.
