Black Friday weekend, Solaren leadership and staff returned once again to Tanger Outlets to ensure the safety of all employees and patrons while also supporting the merchants this holiday season.
After our success with Tanger’s grand opening, we came back to make sure this weekend went just as smoothly! We provided unarmed security, off-duty law enforcement and traffic control services. Officers patrolled the grounds and managed the flow of traffic in and out of the footprint. In addition to security and traffic control, we also aided with parking management. We provided shuttles for shoppers from the overflow parking lot to the shopping outlet and directed drivers to parking spots to ensure there was space for everyone. Our staff patrolled the lots to make sure there were no incidents of theft or damage while also directing a constant flow of traffic in and out of the lots.
This year saw an increase in both in-store and online shopping according to a report from CNN.
Sensormatic Solutions, which tracks foot traffic in stores noted a 4.2% increase in shoppers from last year. Adobe Analytics noted a 7.5% increase in sales overall on Black Friday to $9.8 billion, so Black Friday is alive and well post pandemic. We certainly witnessed this at Tanger with a constant and steady stream of shoppers throughout both days. We are proud to have a hand in supporting this major source of jobs and income for the Nashville Area by making sure that there are no disruptions to safety and sales for our clients.
This is our first year working with the newly opened Tanger Outlet and we have to say it was a remarkable success.
Due to the efforts of our LEOs and traffic control officers, we prevented any major buildups or incidents on the roadways and in the parking lots. We care about the values and missions of our clients and our goal is to ensure the success of every client we serve. We are thankful for this new client relationship and cannot wait to continue working with them in the future.
