The Solaren Risk Management Team Travels to Virginia For the 2022 Blue Ridge Rock Festival

On September 6th, a convoy of more than 10 Solaren Risk Management vehicles, many hauling trailers filled with equipment, set out for Alton, Virginia. After months of planning, logistics meetings, reviewing procedures and intense training, the team was ready. This team, hand chosen for experience and skill, would provide all security at the 2022 Blue Ridge Rock Festival. Late that night, the team arrived at the Virginia International Raceway which had been transformed into the site of one of the largest music festivals in the country.

This four-day festival spanned five stages and hosted almost two hundred artists. Providing security for an event of this magnitude is no small undertaking. Impeccable planning, staffing and communication were key in making this event a success.

The Solaren team was responsible for keeping over 150,000 fans safe over the four-day period, in addition to the performers and festival staff.

Due to the professionalism, skill and attention to detail by the Solaren team, arrests, injuries and other incidents were kept to a minimum.

While the main objective was security, this was also an excellent opportunity for the Solaren team to bond, get to know each other and have some fun during their down time. Most of the staff stayed in a lodge as a group, ate meals together and enjoyed after hours activities such as bonfires, group sing-a-longs and other fun-filled activities. The Solaren team is proud to be a part of the Blue Ridge Rock Festival and looks forward to 2023.
