Rapid Response from Solaren Officers Supports Medical Emergency Efforts Downtown

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 18, 2025) —

Solaren Risk Management would like to recognize their officers for their rapid response

and life-saving efforts during an incident that occurred in downtown Nashville early on a Saturday morning near Bridgestone Arena.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the incident took place shortly before 2:30 a.m. following an altercation involving a pedicab driver and passengers. One individual sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to Vanderbuilt University Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries. Responding officers from MNPD and emergency medical services arrived on scene within minutes, where they took a suspect into custody. The situation remains under active investigation in coordination with the District Attorney’s Office.

Solaren Officer Tyler Lee, stationed near Walk of Fame Park, immediately responded

after hearing gunfire and after reporting the situation to his supervisor began providing emergency medical aid to the victim. Additional Solaren personnel, including Officer Vincent Steele, responded to assist. Officer Steele was able to communicate directly with Metro Nashville Police Department dispatch to report the incident and coordinate emergency response. Solaren officers remained on scene to provide medical assistance, help secure the area, and support arriving law enforcement and EMS units.

Solaren extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the victim

and expresses appreciation to the Metro Police Department and Nashville Fire Department for their coordinated emergency response. The company will continue to support ongoing investigative efforts as authorities determine the circumstances surrounding the event.
