Solaren Risk Management Participates in Nashville’s First Community Clean Up of 2020

With the COVID-19 pandemic, community clean ups have been at a halt so far in 2020. We wanted to change that. Solaren Risk Management’s administrative team, traffic control, security, and law enforcement divisions kicked off Labor Day Weekend by giving back to the community. The morning of September 4th, over thirty Solaren team members gathered at our fleet yard to convoy over to the Hickory Hollow area of Antioch. When Solaren first opened in 2017, our office was located in Hickory Hollow, so it is an area that is close to our hearts and we were excited to give back to.

We enthusiastically arrived in Antioch, equipped with masks, garbage bags, trash pickers, and gloves ready to begin our community support. Councilwoman Joy Styles helped coordinate our efforts and was also able to participate in our clean up day. Over the next 4 hours, we collected a substantial amount of trash, filling a multitude of garbage bags, and numerous grocery carts, that had been stolen and abandoned along Bell Rd, the Crossings, and Hickory Hollow Parkway.

After we completed clean-up, we headed to Maria Bonita to have lunch, and say thanks to the Solaren crew for volunteering their time. During lunch, we held a giveaway, where all of our team members who donated their time won various gift cards, and then held a grand prize drawing where traffic control’s Matt Patterson won $300 cash!

We were able to capture several photos displaying our efforts to help Antioch shine that can be found on our Facebook page. Solaren prides itself on community involvement and we look forward to the next clean-up day!
