Solaren PR Team | May 19, 2022 | For Immediate Release

The Solaren Team is responsible for law enforcement staffing at the amphitheater through a partnership with the Huntsville Police Department.

This weekend, the Solaren Risk Management Team traveled to Huntsville, Alabama for the new Orion Amphitheater’s first three-day weekend. The new amphitheater will hold 8,800 fans and is the first venue of its kind in the Huntsville area. The weekend included performances by Emmylou Harris, Jason Isbell, Brittany Howard, and the Aeolians. With beautiful weather and fans excited to see the new venue, it was an exciting weekend for all.

The Solaren Team is responsible for law enforcement staffing at the amphitheater through a partnership with the Huntsville Police Department. The department supplies a minimum of six officers and one supervisor for each show. These officers provide an immediate law enforcement response should an emergency arise, and perform traffic control at key intersections when necessary.

In addition to law enforcement, the Solaren Team provides supplemental security officers when needed and manages the three primary parking lots used by patrons of the amphitheater.

Patrons purchase a parking space on the parking app pre-show, or pay by credit card as they are scanned in. Patrons are then directed to the closest space for parking. To keep things running smoothly and efficiently, Solaren has hired a local event manager in the Huntsville area to manage the parking operations.

Finally, our team manages traffic control points at intersections surrounding the immediate amphitheater area. These points control traffic traveling toward the amphitheater to allow safe pedestrian travel before and after shows. Solaren deploys six message boards to help patrons make their way safely and efficiently to the appropriate lots on show days. We have placed diesel light towers in two satellite parking lots which do not have their own lighting for safety after dark. Solaren has also dedicated a command center, utility vehicles and a host of other equipment to the Orion Amphitheater to ensure that we provide the highest levels of service possible to this amazing new venue.
