2024 saw the Middle Tennessee Anime Convention, or MTAC’s, 22nd annual gathering to celebrate this niche creative community.

MTAC is an annual event dedicated to anime, gaming and many other aspects of Japanese popular culture. It is an opportunity for likeminded enthusiasts to gather and share their interests and knowledge. MTAC is overseen by the Southeast Pop Arts & Culture board and operated entirely on a volunteer basis. This is Solaren’s fourth year providing security for the convention, and we are proud to say the event went extremely well.

Solaren Risk Management provided Off-Duty Law Enforcement, Armed, Unarmed Security and Event Staff for the event spanning three days.

Our staff were happy to support such a kind community and witness all the costume creativity at the event. This event hosts a series of engaging programs such as lip-sync contests, cosplay competitions, ramen contests and more that we wanted to ensure all guests could experience safely.

In addition to providing physical security for this event, Solaren Risk Management also provided a donation in the form of a certificate to our Bridgestone Suite for the show of their choice. MTAC’s chosen charity partner for this year is Trans Lifeline. “Trans Lifeline is a grassroots hotline, advocacy, & microgrants 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization offering direct emotional & financial support to trans people in crisis – for the trans community, by the trans community.” Being a certified LGBT Business Enterprise, Solaren was proud to support the community through this participation in MTAC’s charity event.
